Forever on a quest for the firest beat, Lidas is the resident DJ of Seek at Fort Greene, a monthly underground house and minimal showcase. As the founder of Slowmotif, an event series and forthcoming label, Lidas produces unique concoctions aimed at the dance floor, both in the DJ booth and in the studio; thick basslines pair with nostalgic sampling, moody drones lace with bubbly percussion, and some good old fashioned beep boops melt over humanized patterns. Always an adventurous ride, loyal to the groove yet unrefined.
Vek Nierbo
Vek Neirbo is the unruly alter-ego alias of Kev Obrien, a recent transplant to the Denver area who cut his teeth in the NYC scene for over a decade. As a veteran of the underground electronic music world, he's been immersed in the industry as a DJ, producer, label owner and manager for over fifteen years.
Under the guise as Vek Neirbo, his sound has morphed and been honed-in on groovy, tripped-out, and hypnotic minimal, tech house, breaks, and everything in between.Over the years, he's commandeered dancefloors around the U.S., Europe, Central America, as well as South Africa, while his productions have been championed by DJs such as John Digweed, Solomun, Nic Fanciulli, Jamie Jones, and many more.
During the week he works full-time as a label manager, and has headed up labels such as Stranjjur, Superlux Records, Eyedyllic Music, Vibe Me To The Moon, and Moteur Ville Musique; collectively working with and releasing music by artists such as Joeski, Delano Smith, Roland Clark, Jay Tripwire, Subb-An, Voigtmann, HearThuG, and many more.
