NOW HIRING: Marketing Coordinator
We are seeking a creative and results-driven Marketing Coordinator to oversee and implement the marketing efforts for our two venues, Beacon and Mockingbird. This role is ideal for someone passionate about nightlife, music, and creating high-impact campaigns that engage our audience, build community, and drive attendance. The Marketing Coordinator will manage content creation, advertising, and multi-channel marketing strategies, ensuring every event gets optimal exposure while maintaining our venue’s unique identity and voice.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Social Media Management
Develop and manage a content calendar to ensure diverse and consistent posts across platforms (e.g., Instagram and TikTok).
Ensure optimal event promotion, including posting event highlights, stories, and engaging Reels, while maintaining daily Instagram Story activity.
Secure videographers or photographers for capturing content in real-time according to our content strategy needs and organize content into Google Drive.
Basic short form video editing (text overlays, trimming)
Proactively manage audience engagement, including responding to messages, comments
Actively collaborate with and manage list of influencers
Regularly monitor and report on key social media metrics, including engagement, follower growth, reach, and impressions.
Create and manage Facebook events including co-hosting requests
Advertising Strategy
Collaborate with Robert to execute advertising strategies targeting nightlife and happy hour audiences.
Use multi-goal campaign strategies, track ROI, and report weekly on ad performance.
Manage and track success of custom audiences
Allocate advertising budgets effectively, including $20-30 per event on Meta ads.
Explore additional advertising platforms, such as TikTok and Google, to enhance reach and engagement.
Multi-Channel Marketing
Post event details on website(s) to include performer details, including DJ names, social links, soundcloud links, etc
Execute SMS campaigns, monitoring click-through rates and unsubscribes to optimize engagement.
Lead email marketing campaigns and keep email list up to date with ticket purchase emails
Post event details on third-party calendars and websites (e.g., EDM Train, Resident Advisor, RiNo).
Managing presence on 3rd party websites: Yelp, Google Maps, Trip Advisor
Graphic Design
Create event flyers according to pre-determined branding guidelines
Assist with misc graphics needs such as posters, sales decks, etc.
Website Content Management
Manage information and keep website up to date with Squarespace
Above and Beyond Content & Promotional Goals
Organize street teams to distribute flyers and engage potential attendees in high-traffic areas (e.g., S. Broadway).
Share recorded live sets and repost tracks from upcoming performers on SoundCloud.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum of two years experience in a professional marketing role, with a focus on social media management and digital advertising.
Willing to work in the office three days per week and meet with Event Manager once per week
Strong writing and creative skills with an ability to produce engaging content (and examples to share)
Passionate about nightlife, music, and event promotion
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
